Cool, wet weather at fruit set, led us to low yields come vintage time. The growing season was excellent, however the vines had little hard work to do as moisture was in abundance.
What we did manage to harvest, however, made a top wine with notes of white stone fruit and melon aromas. Honeysuckle high notes this Chardonnay gives you a perfect mouthfeel with intensity with a clean acid sweep up the palate.
Our Chardonnay review from Andrew Caillard, MW: 95 points for the previous vintage
Medium deep. Marzipan, nutmeg, vanilla, ripe pear, apricot, nectarine aromas. Richly concentrated wine with ample peach, nectarine, apricot, underlying vanilla marzipan notes, superb lacy texture, lovely mid-palate generosity and creaminess, and fine long mineral acidity. Delicious classical barrel-fermented Chardonnay with lovely body, weight and underlying oak complexity. 13% alc 95 points
